The Batesville High School cheerleading team earned a fourth-place finish in the Game Day Division at the National Cheerleaders Association High School Nationals, marking the program’s highest placement in that category.
The team originally planned to compete in Fort Worth, Texas, but adjusted to a virtual format due to weather-related travel changes. Despite the shift, Batesville delivered what the program described as its strongest performance of the season, competing against eight teams nationwide.
The fourth-place finish capped months of preparation and reflects the continued development of the Batesville cheer program, according to school officials.
The team members who represented Batesville at the national competition were Hallie Adair, Lexi Bledsoe, Chloe Cordell, Addy Fulbright, MaKinlee Ghannad, Addison Gipson, Liz Heng, Brooklynn Hughes, Graci Inman, Bella Jackson, Lizzie Langston, Chloe Massey, Sophie Taylor, Maleah Treat, and Drew Warden.
The team is led by head coach Allison Angel.
Batesville High School officials praised the cheerleaders for representing the school on the national stage with discipline and teamwork.
