A 73-year-old Hardy man was killed Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on a Sharp County highway, according to the Arkansas State Police.
The crash occurred at 1:39 p.m. Jan. 30 on U.S. Highway 412 in Hardy, when the 2011 Buick was traveling westbound and struck a pedestrian who was in the roadway, the department’s preliminary report said. The victim, identified as Patrick Black, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The weather was clear, and the road conditions were dry at the time of the incident, the report showed. There were no reported injuries to occupants of the vehicle.
