Clifford Gerald Peer, 85, of Floral, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

He was born July 25, 1940, in Kerman, California to Carless Peer and Fannie Pauline (Howlett) Peer.

Survived by his favorite sister, Pattie Frenzel; three sons, Michael Peer (Karmen), Gerald Peer (Jerri), and Clifford Peer (Pamela); six grandchildren, Ami Davis, Lori Moody, Jessica Brignac, Chris Peer, Lane Peer, and Elizabeth Peer; six great-grandchildren, Savannah, Kairi, Lexi, Lottie, Matthew, Sean, and many nieces and nephews, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fannie Pauline Peer and Carless Peer, his wife, Rosemary, and his sister, Margaret.

Clifford Gerald Peer worked hard in the fields of California as a foreman at a Domino’s sugar farm. He later settled down and started a family with his wife, Rosemary, having three ornery boys. After moving to Arkansas to make a home in Floral, he worked on the Heber Springs Dam. He was an avid hunter who loved to spend his time hunting and watching deer. He was a pro at dominoes and cards.

He started his Auctioneer career in 1975 in Pleasant Plains, across from the old post office, with his wife writing tickets and his three sons as his ringmen. In 1982, he built what is now the Floral Auction, which stands as a tribute to his love for the craft of selling antiques and everything in between. During his 40 plus years of being an auctioneer, he has made many lifelong friendships. He was but a man who, like many, didn’t always do the right thing, but did truly love his family.

Pallbearers are John Evans, Brent Peer, Jason Frenzel, Scott Jones, Shannon Frenzel, and Mike Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Don Fortson, Rick Lewis, Bobby Martin, Skip Newcomb, Jody Bradford, Gary Hardin, and Ronnie Martin.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until service time.

Funeral services will be on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Ronnie Fortson and Wade Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.

Memorials may be made in his memory to the Floral Volunteer Fire Department, 3760 Floral Rd, Floral, AR 72534.
