Ivan Gene Lewis, 59, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 27, 1966, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Leonard and Raydean (Brown) Lewis.
Ivan was a Christian of the Pentecostal faith and a faithful member of The Sanctuary UPC of Mountain View. He could truly be described as a pure Christian man. It was often said that you couldn’t make him mad enough to sin. His loyalty and determination to serve Jesus with his whole heart became the greatest priority of his life.
Ivan was a dependable and hardworking man who spent his life working various handyman jobs. Even on days he didn’t feel like working, he always showed up. He enjoyed the simple things in life—going to church, being outdoors, collecting cars and hats, taking trips to Branson, yard-saling, and attending auctions. More than anything, Ivan loved spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Lewis-Cooper and Jamie Lewis-Brewer, and one niece, Samantha Wallis.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Leonard and Raydean Lewis; one sister, Karen (Donald) Wallis; two nieces, Amanda Cooper and Rebeka Wallis; two nephews, Robert (Kim) Gilbert and Donovan (Kylee) Cooper; five great-nephews, Richard, Mathew, Bradley, Hayden, Drayton, and Ryan; and four great-nieces, Andrea, Summer, Paisley, and Adley. Ivan is also survived by a host of cousins, his church family, and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at The Sanctuary UPC of Mountain View, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Brother Paul Mize, Brother Daniel Stephens, and Brother Ryan Tinkle will officiate. Interment will take place at Flatwoods Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Robert Gilbert, Donovan Cooper, Danny Lawrence, Larry Sutton, Jerry Lawrence, and Sammy Mize.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Lawrence, Ryan Tinkle, and Garrett Stephens.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Mountain View Funeral Service.
