
A 76-year-old Batesville woman died Thursday afternoon after a head-on collision on Camp Tahkodah Road in Independence County.
Wanda Floyed was killed when another vehicle crossed the centerline and struck her 2019 Jeep Cherokee around 4:20 p.m., according to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash report. Floyed’s vehicle overturned following the impact.
The driver of the second vehicle, Jan Harmon, 47, of Batesville, was injured in the crash and taken to White River Health for treatment. Harmon was driving a 2016 Nissan Maxima northbound on Camp Tahkodah Road when the collision occurred.
Weather and road conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash, according to the report.
