
Jimmy Earl Conyers, 77, of Batesville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in Batesville. He was born on October 26, 1948, in Promiseland, Arkansas to Raymond and Garner Conyers. He was a superintendant for the Road and Street Department in Cherokee Village and later in life went on to finish his seminar schooling to become a preacher. He was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed ministering to people, working outside, preaching the gospel, fishing and hunting, and spending time with his beloved church family and family. He especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Tracey Conyers; and his sister, Bonnie Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bessie Conyers; his daughter, Shelia Roach (Ditzler); his sons, Michael McComas, Jeremy McComas and Bobby McComas; his brother, Scott Conyers; his sisters, Dee Wycoff, Pete VanHoozer and Betty Wilson; five grandchildren, Atlanta Solis, Cheyanne King, Gracie McComas, Haven McComas and Blade McComas; and one great grandchild, Oliver Solis; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Maxville Church of Christ in Cave City with Bro. Ditzler Roach officiating.
