God called home one of his most precious angels on Thursday, February 12, 2026, when Dwayne H. Stott Sr., 84, of Southside, AR, entered the gates of Heaven. Dwayne was born on March 16, 1941, in El Dorado, AR, to the late Woodrow Wilson Stott and Lonnie Mae (Aaron) Stott. Dwayne served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was of the Christian faith.
Bro. Stott had a servant’s heart, and he lived to serve the Lord, Jesus Christ, and His people. Dwayne lived a spirit-filled and spirit-led life. He grew up in church and around worship, even learning to play the piano by ear as a young boy to sing praise and worship. But it wasn’t until the age of 18 that he received the call from God to minister and Bro. Stott committed himself to working and growing the Kingdom of God from the very beginning. God led him to the young lady who would become his wife of 64 years, the late Audra (Calhoun) Stott, through ministry. They met in church and were married on June 17, 1963. Dwayne and Audra would go on to be founders and cornerstones of many churches. Some that they directly founded and started, while others were influencers and guides to help those who were planting them along the way. Dwayne was also a master welder by trade. He was extremely artistic and efficient at welding. Just like in ministry, Dwayne would lead and teach others, passing along knowledge and skills to master the craft of welding, and of course, sharing Christ along the way in any opportunity that presented itself. Another way that Dwayne expressed his artistic skill was through painting. He loved to paint and enjoyed telling stories through the art of painting
Together, Dwayne and Audra raised a family that would also be dedicated to the Lord’s work. Dwayne was a loving, loyal, and dedicated husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend, and recently, a great-great-grandfather. Dwayne was “all in” when it came to his family. He was a constant source of love and support. He leaves behind a legacy that will be felt on earth for generations but will echo in eternity forever.
Simply put…Dwayne was a Godly, honest man, who will be cherished in the hearts of everyone he ever met forever. And for those who know Jesus, he will be there waiting on us on the other side.
Dwayne is preceded in death by both of his parents; his loving wife of 64 years, Audra Stott; and his brother, James Rowe Stott. He is survived by his two sons, Dwayne H. Stott, Jr (Sherry) and Todd M. Stott (Lauren); his two daughters, Vonda Martin (Chris), and Tamra Parks (Scott); his beloved grandchildren, Lee Stott (Alyssa), Erin McEntire, Cara Moxley (Ryan), Garrett Sutton (Amanda), Jarrod Sutton (Ashley), Brooklynn McGray (Michael), Micky Parks, Boston Stott, Riley Stott, Scottie Parks (Amy), and Erika Farris (Kennie); 12 great-grandchildren; his great-great grandson, Owen Dwayne Stott; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR, and will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the Southside Assembly of God. Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Bro. Todd Stott will begin at 2 PM with interment to follow at Egner Cemetery in Salado.
