Terry Gene Moody, 67, of Batesville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on February 24, 2026. He was born on March 22, 1958, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Vaughan Moody and Betty (Moxley) Moody.
Terry was a devoted man of faith who loved the Lord and cherished his family above all else. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing with his family. A dedicated Razorbacks fan, he faithfully supported the Arkansas Razorbacks, but nothing brought him greater joy than watching his grandchildren play sports. Terry was a faithful member of his church and was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. His servant’s heart and kind spirit were a blessing to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his son, William “Billy” Moody.
Terry leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Elwood’s Moody; two sons, Charles Sample (Tara) and Dustin Moody (Leslie); four grandchildren, Mackenzie Moody, Taylor Moody, Caden Sample, and Aubree Sample; and two brothers, Steve Moody (Dawn) and Joe Moody. He is also survived by extended family members and a host of friends who will deeply miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on February 28, 2026, at Rehobeth Baptist Church, with Brother Brandon Jackson and Brother Roger Crum officiating.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Caring Hands Hospice and Bobbi Tisha, APRN, for the compassionate care shown to Terry and their family during this time.
