Local commuters will need to find a new way around Cason Lane this week as crews begin essential maintenance on a neighborhood bridge.
Independence County Judge Kevin Jeffery announced that the bridge located in the 800 block of Cason Lane closed for repairs starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The closure is expected to last at least two days, though officials cautioned that the timeline remains dependent on local weather conditions. While the specific nature of the repairs was not disclosed, the work is part of the county’s efforts to maintain local infrastructure.
“Please plan your route accordingly,” Jeffery said in a public service announcement released Tuesday morning.
