Obituary: Ray Wayne Gay

Ray Wayne Gay, 75, of Floral, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born on November 9, 1950, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Ray and Wynlee (Dunn) Gay. He was a cattle farmer and a member of the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church in Floral. He took care of the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Floral for over 30 years. For 40-plus years, he was on the Floral Fire Department. Wayne enjoyed cattle farming, raising chickens and rabbits, and loved to visit with people. He lived and worked on the family farm all of his 75 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Debbie Gay; and his sister, Judy Christine Gay.

He is survived by numerous cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Nikki Stair officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Floral with arrangements by Qualls Funeral Homes.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Wade Gay, Wesley Gay, Don Babb, Glen Gay, Randy Brogdon and Daryl Brown.

Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Gay, Darrell Hayes, Charlie Jennings and Bubb Woods.
