Obituary: Bob Hulett

Bob Hulett, of Glenn Heights, Texas, departed this life on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born on February 28, 1939, in Swifton, Arkansas, the son of William Otho and Dona Hulett.

Bob graduated from Swifton High School in 1956 and the University of Arkansas in 1960. He served in the US Army from 1960 to 1962, with foreign service in the country of Panama. On May 5, 1970, he married Miss Jane Rhea Alexander, over 55 years ago.

Bob worked for the United States Department of Agriculture for over 35 years. He was a widely respected professional who was called on to lead activities in Florida, California and Mississippi.

Bob was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, wherever he lived. For many years, he worshipped at the Winona Church of Christ in Winona, Mississippi and the Margaret Street Church of Christ in Milton, Florida. Beyond church service, Bob delighted in doing the Lord’s work – especially visiting residents in nursing homes, doing yard work for those unable to do so, and helping in any way that he could.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Hulett, of Glenn Heights, Texas; his sons, Stephen Bradford Hulett of Glenn Heights, Texas, Bobby Hulett and wife, Crisanna, of Grenada, Mississippi; Ed Lawson and wife Tracy, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and ten grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, March 27, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home Chapel. Committal services will take place at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Lake Village Cemetery in Lake Village, Arkansas.
