Sharon West, 74, of Conway, AR, passed away on May 22, 2026, at the home of her son, Barry and his wife, Cynthia Hendrix, of Camden, Arkansas.
Sharon was born on December 8, 1951, in Newport, Arkansas, to Loman and Ailene Johnson. She had many hobbies, including cross-stitching, quilting, sewing, word search puzzles, and deer hunting. She loved spending time with her family on Lake Conway, as well as White Oak Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Loman and Ailene Johnson; and two brothers, Boyce Johnson and Ricky Johnson.
Sharon is survived by her sons, Barry and wife, Cynthia Hendrix, of Camden, Cheyenne and wife, Leslie Hendrix, of Conway; eight grandchildren, Ashleigh, Alaiyah and husband, Riley, Hannah, Nathan and wife, Haley, Cory and wife, Carole, McKinsi, Tanner, Tyler; five great-grandchildren, Jaelynn, Lincoln, Ronan, Harrison, and Lorelai; three sisters, Diane Burt, Kathy Baker and husband, Tommy, and Pam Presley; one brother, Ralph Johnson. Sharon is also survived by her companion of thirty-six years, Doug Battles, as well as a whole host of nieces and nephews.
Sharon fought an eleven-year courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Arbor Hospice team, Dr. Braden, nurses Elana, Traci, Maddie, Sharry, and Mariah, social worker Becky, CNA Marilyn, and Chaplain Mr. Russ. The family would also like to thank Pastor Taylor and Sharon’s private sitter, Ginger.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Jackson’s Funeral Home, services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
