Batesville Water Utility customers who received an unexpected email about their accounts this week can rest easy — their service is unaffected, city officials say.
The city recently transitioned to a new online payment platform called Invoice Cloud. Before the switch was announced, the utility’s previous payment vendor sent an unauthorized email to customers, prompting confusion about account status.
“Your account is in good standing,” the utility said in a statement, adding that no late fees or disconnect fees will be assessed for the next two months to ease the transition.
Customers who previously paid their water bills online will need to create a new profile under the updated system. Saved links and login credentials from the old portal will no longer work.
To set up a new account or make a payment, customers can visit Batesvillearkansas.gov and click “Pay Water Bill.” Payments can also be made by phone at 888-332-1563.
