Marttina (Bullard)Thompson, 78, of Swifton, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

Born on November 18, 1947, in Newport, Arkansas, Marttina was the daughter of William Taft Bullard and Ruth Edna (Davis) Bullard. She lived a life centered on faith, family, and the simple joys that brought happiness to those around her.

Marttina was a faithful member of Glenn Street Church of Christ. She loved spending time outdoors and found great enjoyment in gardening, hunting, fishing, and camping. She was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed canning the fruits and vegetables she grew and sharing them with family and friends. She also loved antiquing and had a keen eye for unique treasures. For many years, she owned and operated a flea market, where she formed countless friendships and became well-known throughout the community.

More than anything, Marttina treasured her family. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love and devotion were evident in everything she did. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought immeasurable joy to her life, and she cherished every moment spent making memories with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, John Wesley Thompson; her husband of 43 years, Leonard Wesley Thompson; her brothers, Wayne Bullard, Grimsley Bullard, Lionel Bullard, and Jackie Bullard; and her sisters, Kathryn Kennedy and Doris Mathis.

She is survived by her daughter, Tonya Gail Nettles of Swifton; her brother, Benoni Bullard and wife, Brenda, of Possum Grape; her sister, Regina Everett of Campbell Station; her grandchildren, Summer Brownderville and husband, Nate, of Sulphur Rock, Braxton Thompson and wife, Rachel, of Trumann, and Selena Thompson of Tuckerman; and her great-grandchildren, Mason Wesley Thompson, Remi Kay Thompson, and Jaxson James Webb, along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

Marttina will be remembered for her kind heart, her strength, her love of the outdoors, and the deep devotion she showed to her family. Her legacy of love, faith, and hard work will continue to live on in the lives of those who knew and loved her.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Braxton Thompson, Summer Brownderville, Nate Brownderville, Brian Bullard, Bryce Shelton, and Dan Harris.  Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Holt, Jaxson Webb, Mason Thompson and Benoni Bullard.

Service will be at 10:00 on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with James Duvall officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
