Jerry Lee Knapp, 86, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed on June 23, 2026. He was born on July 29, 1939, to the late Delmos and Opal (Zuber) Knapp in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Jerry was a man of deep Christian faith who loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. He carried a steadfast belief in his eternal home and lived with the quiet confidence of someone who knew where he was headed. His devotion to God, country, and family shaped every part of his life.

Gentle by nature and blessed with a warm sense of humor, Jerry cherished the people around him. Music was one of his greatest passions. He especially loved country and western music and spent countless hours singing and playing. As a proud member of the Folk Lore Society, he could often be found performing around town, sharing songs with friends and fellow musicians. Music wasn’t just a hobby for Jerry — it was a way he connected with others and expressed joy.

Jerry had always dreamed of being a truck driver. Though he worked various jobs throughout his life, he ultimately fulfilled that dream, spending the last 13 years driving over the road until his retirement. He took pride in his work and in the independence and purpose it gave him.

Above all, Jerry loved his family, his faith, and his country. His gentle spirit, his music, and his unwavering devotion will be remembered by all who knew him.

Jerry is survived by six sons, Roger (Barbara) Knapp of Mountain View, Ronnie (Tammy) Knapp of Mountain View, Steven (Julie) Knapp of Southside, Jeffery Knapp of Drasco, Darren Farris of California, Dale (Laura) Farris of Mississippi; daughter, Sharon Knapp of Mountain View; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister, Naomi Apostolos of Chicago, Illinois; brother Mark Knapp of Mountain View; and a host of family and friends.
