Mary Alice O’Conner Vannatter, 62, was born July 18, 1964, in San Bernardino, California. She passed away on August 14th, leaving behind a loving family and many memories that will be cherished forever.
Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She was married to Troy Vannatter, with whom she had her son, Rex Vannatter. Later, she was with Alan Jernigan, with whom she had her daughter, Magen Jernigan Burch.
Mary’s children were among the most important parts of her life. She was incredibly proud of her family and especially loved being a grandmother. Her grandchildren included Addison Vannatter, Hunter Muse, Emeliah Muse, and Bayne McCurley.
She is also survived by her five sisters: Sean O’Conner Vannatter, Sharon O’Conner Dayberry, and Amber Harris Baker, Judy Cole and, Peggy O’Conner Hood, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary was the daughter of Barbara (Elmer) Harris. She was preceded in death by her father, Pete O’Conner; her grandparents, Alice Driggers and Henry Driggers; and her grandparents, Roger O’Conner and Mary O’Conner.
Mary worked as a hairdresser for nearly 30 years. She touched the lives of many people through her work, but her greatest joy was her family. She loved her grandchildren dearly and was so proud of each of them.
Mary’s memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, sisters, extended family, and all those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed, but the love she gave her family will remain with them.
