Sharon Kay Sanders, 78, passed away on August 16, 2026, in Batesville, AR. Sharon was involved in the Cub Scouts as a den leader and a Sunday school teacher when her sons were younger. She loved crocheting and making gifts for people. Sharon was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed by all those blessed to know her.
Sharon is survived by her sons, Bill L. Sanders (Lori Harker) of Rapid City, SD and Glen Sanders (Debbie) of Batesville, AR; grandchildren, Jason Mead (Jessica), Aymee Flood (Steve), and Sam Mead; nephew, Luke Stroud; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and multiple cousins and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvie Stroud and Winona (Farrier) Stroud; husband, Robert Lynn Sanders; brother, Larry Stroud; and sister-in-law, Wanda Stroud.
There will be a visitation held at Willis Funeral Service Chapel on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 5 PM until 7 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Tim Landers, will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, beginning at 10 AM at Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Campground Cemetery in Bethesda, AR. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Glen Sanders, Bill Sanders, Jason Mead, Steve Flood, Sam Mead, and Luke Stroud.
