Alan Aguilar crossed the finish line first at Saturday’s White River H2GoRun, posting a winning time of 11 minutes, 9 seconds in the annual 2-mile race benefiting Alzheimer’s Arkansas.
Katherine Brown was the top female finisher, completing the course in 12 minutes and 37 seconds.
More than 150 runners and walkers took part in the fourth annual event, according to Race Director Jane T. Svetz.
The race began at 7:30 a.m. at the Batesville Community Center. Participants had the option to run or walk the 2-mile course, with awards presented to the top three male and female finishers overall and the top finishers in each age group.
Proceeds from the event benefit Alzheimer’s Arkansas, a nonprofit organization that supports caregivers of people living with dementia and other chronic illnesses.
Svetz organized this year’s race alongside a group of sponsors, including ESA, which supported the event.
