Marilyn Diemer Earnheart of Batesville, Arkansas, age 73, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 28th, 2026, at her home in the community of Bethesda, Arkansas, surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 11, 1952, in Clarksville, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Rachel Diemer; her brother, Donald Diemer; her father-in-law, Wilson Earnheart, mother-in-law, Yolanda Earnheart; and her sister-in-law, Connie Earnheart.
Marilyn married Richard Earnheart on August 11, 1972, and they lived in the Batesville area for 54 years, building a beautiful life and family together. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Natasha Robinson (Matthew) of Little Rock, Arkansas and son Cameron Earnheart (Matthew) of Batesville, Arkansas and later a cherished MeMe to her beloved grandsons: Christian Robinson (Katlin) of Cary, North Carolina, Logan Pittman (Stella) of Rogers, Arkansas, Finley Robinson of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Brooks Robinson of Little Rock, Arkansas. She also leaves behind a brother David Diemer (Charlotte) of Southside, Arkansas, and brother-in-law, Lee Earnheart of Southside, Arkansas and nieces and nephews including Donald Diemer (Cheri) of Anna, Illinois, Tabitha Nesterenko (Tony) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Brandon Diemer of Derwood, Maryland; Rachelle Stallings (Cary) of Greenbrier, Arkansas, Wilson Lee Earnheart of Southside, Arkansas, and Molly Love (Will) of Batesville, Arkansas as well as many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
She grew up in the Guion and Batesville area, forming many friendships that lasted a lifetime. She was a member of Fellowship Bible Church, and she loved God and her family above all. As a youth, she enjoyed basketball and was known for her excellent shooting skills, even shooting snakes near her childhood home. Early in her career, she worked in her family’s florist business, Lane’s Florist, where she gained valuable business experience and developed a lifelong love for plants and flowers. She had an exceptional knowledge of flowers and could identify nearly any type or variety when asked.
Marilyn dedicated over 35 years to the medical field, working for Dr. Robert Walton, where she helped manage the practice and was also involved in patient care, demonstrating her compassion and heart for helping others. She formed lifelong friendships with co-workers and patients during this time. Additionally, she was a co-owner of Ed Diemer Trucking, a family business, where she contributed to the administrative side of the business that her father and mother started over 50 years ago. She also played an important role in renovating the Earnheart buildings on Main Street, co-owned by Marilyn and her husband Richard. She was passionate about overseeing the interior and exterior updates and managing the bookkeeping for the properties.
Marilyn treasured time with her beloved grandsons, creating lasting memories through family trips, attending soccer games, exploring flea and farmer’s markets, and spoiling them at her country home in Bethesda. She was an avid Razorback fan and began attending football games when her daughter started college in Fayetteville.
Marilyn enjoyed road trips to watch her son, Cameron, cheer for the Hogs and continued attending games long after they both graduated. She loved cooking, often experimenting with new recipes from her many, many cookbooks. Marilyn also loved elephants and enjoyed collecting them over the years. Her love for God’s creation was evident in her always-full bird feeders and the joy she found watching her birds and wildlife from her kitchen window.
Marilyn is remembered as a remarkable woman, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and a kind soul. Her radiant smile, deep faith in Jesus, and capacity to spread love and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.at the Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville, Arkansas. The celebration of life will be held in the Roller Crouch chapel on Thursday, September 3rd at 2:00 p.m., and will be officiated by her nephew, Donald O. Diemer.
Burial will follow at the Campground Cemetery in Bethesda.
Pallbearers will be: Christian Robinson, Logan Pittman, Finley Robinson, Chris Pittman, Andy Konkler, Steve Harmon, and Mario Garcia.
Honorary pallbearers include David Diemer, Lee Earnheart, Wilson Earnheart, Andy Edwards, Bernardo Gonzalez, Randy Ring, Dan Smith, Christen Vaughn, and Dr Robert Walton.
The family thanks relatives, friends, neighbors and church family for their prayers, visits and support during this time.
