The City of Cushman is set to host its annual Miners Day celebration this Saturday, Sept. 26, featuring an expanded event footprint, a record number of vendors, and family-friendly entertainment.
Event organizer Sydney Franks visited Arkansas 103.3 KWOZ and 1340 KBTA to share details with White River Now’s Chad Whiteaker. (Listen to their interview below.)
Franks noted that this year’s festivities will span from the pavilion behind the Cushman Store down to the city park. The day kicks off with a parade at 10:30 a.m., followed by vendor booths, live music, and activities running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Admission to the event grounds and all children’s attractions—including a rock climbing wall, mechanical bull, foam pit, space ball, and battle balls—is completely free.
Organizers will also host a series of major prize giveaways at 3 p.m. Top prizes include a Turtlebox outdoor speaker, a kayak, a cooler donated by Moser Rock and Dirt, and a two-night stay at a river cabin. The celebration is made possible by major local sponsors, including the Bank of Cave City and Hatfield Ready Mix. Additional event details and vendor updates can be found on the City of Cushman, Arkansas, Facebook page.
