Douglas Wayne Brewer, age 79, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away on April 1, 2024, in Mountain View, Arkansas. He was born on December 28, 1944, in Mountain View, Arkansas.
A skilled carpenter by profession, Douglas dedicated his life to creating and building with his hands. Beyond his career, he found joy in his hobbies of hunting and fishing, spending peaceful moments in nature doing what he loved.
He is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-one years, Sarah Brewer, his three children, Phillip and wife Sally Brewer, daughter Leslie Duck and daughter Sarah Jewel and husband Paul Schroyer. As well as his six cherished grandchildren Blaine and wife Abby Sowers, Trent Brewer, Alexis Schroyer, Winter Brewer, Brooklyn Everett and Aiden Brewer.
Douglas Wayne Brewer was preceded in death by his mother Effie Brewer, his father Ralph Brewer, his brothers Charles Brewer and Vaughn Brewer, and his sister Betty Stewart.
Douglas Wayne was a faithful Christian man who was also a member of First Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. Douglas was saved as a young boy when he attended a vacation bible school that was held there. In the later years of life, Douglas and his wife Sarah attended Timbo Valley Assembly of God in Timbo, Arkansas.
In honoring his memory, may we remember Douglas for his dedication to his craft, his love for the outdoors, and the warmth he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A memorial to honor Douglas will be planned for a later date for all of his family and friends to celebrate his life.
