
Virginia M. Hood, 83, of Sulphur Rock passed away on September 6, 2024.
She was born October 16, 1940, in Mt. Clements, Michigan to Howard and Virginia (Sparks) Havens.
Virginia served in the US Navy. She loved to go to yard sales and was a great cook who loved to bake things like tarts and pies. She also enjoyed making her own pie crusts, canning, and gardening and loved her dogs. Virginia loved talking about the place where she was born and raised, Harsens Island, Michigan.
Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Bass (Charlie) of Batesville, Deborah Sanders of Batesville, Annetta Hood (Steve) of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Sue Hood; twelve grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Hood; one brother, Howard Havens, and two grandsons, Marc Sanders and William Hood, and son-in-law, Jim Sanders. No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials may be made in her honor to Watson Creek Veterinary Clinic, 5250 White Dr, Batesville, AR 72501.
