
Janice Kay Beitler, 75, passed away November 7, 2024, in Cave City, Arkansas surrounded by her family and friends. She was born to Opal St. John and Johnny Lee Brazzell and was raised by Mary St. John and LJ Gibbs of Batesville, AR.
Janice graduated from Batesville High School and shortly after married her high school sweetheart and love of her life Wayne. She soon learned to navigate life as a Navy wife and mother during the Vietnam era, all while living in San Diego, California. After returning back to Arkansas. She became a mother of two and a homemaker. She also worked outside the home at ConAgra Hatchery Batesville for eighteen years, serving as a chief union steward for many of those years. While busy raising her children and working she also served as a local 4-H leader and raised rabbits for Pel-Freez. Later on, she became owner and operator of South Paw Boarding Kennels of Cave City.
Janice loved reading, sewing and crafting, but her most joyous hobby was growing her beautiful plants. She had an amazing green thumb and loved to share her gift with all those around her. She cherished her family and friends and especially took great pride in watching her grandkids and great-grandkids grow and start achieving their own life goals. She was a loving Christian and a member of Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, which she and Wayne attended together.
Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Paul Wayne Beitler Jr.; all of her parents; two brothers, Daryl Gibbs and Don L Gibbs; one sister Ramona Rutledge all of Batesville.
Survivors include two daughters, Shannon Wooldridge (Scott) of Cave City and Anne Mullins (Greg) of Hot Springs; one brother Archie Gibbs (Betty) of Batesville; seven grandkids, Kayla Martin (Brady) of Cabot, Michael Brooks of Little Rock, Jacob Brooks (Jennifer) of Branson, Joshua Brooks of Hot Springs, Paul Wayne Clark (Leighanne), Amber Adams (Grady), Alyssa Gann (Derrick) all of Cave City; nine great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Beau Martin, Arlo Clark, Beckett Bower, Evie and Warner Adams, Jackson, Ensley, and TK Gann, along with a host of many other family and friends.
Funeral Services will be on November 11, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Brother Chuck Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee’s Chapel Cemetery at Sandtown.

Visitation will begin November 10, 2024, from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Brooks, Joshua Brooks, Jacob Brooks, Paul Clark, Brady Martin, and Grady Adams.
