The Morgan Nick Foundation shared more information on a Batesville man who was reported missing last week.
Bryant Calvert was reported missing on Monday, Nov. 4, by family members who found his vehicle abandoned at a boat ramp in Guion, Arkansas. His yellow kayak was also missing.
According to the Independence County Sheriff’s Office, Calvert emailed his family on Saturday, indicating he intended to say goodbye.
Authorities searched the river from Batesville to Guion but found no signs of him. Due to river conditions last week, the sheriff’s office paused further water searches. Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens said Monday that no additional information has developed.
In addition to the Morgan Nick Foundation, Calvert’s information has been entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, the Arkansas Crime Information Center, and the National Crime Information Center.
Investigators are following leads and ask anyone with information to call the Independence County Sheriff’s Office at 870-793-8838.
