Harlan Ray Lunday, age 91, of Timbo, Arkansas, passed away on March 12th, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, peacefully. He was born on September 27th, 1933, in McClelland, Arkansas, to Lottie and Clifford Lunday.

Harlan married the love of his life, Mary, on July 30th, 1953. He was veteran of the United States Air Force and served as a linguistic specialist during the years of 1953-1957, during the Korean War. After having fulfilled his military service, Harlan then worked his way through the corporate world. He became a claims adjuster, then an office manager of a grain company, an accountant, and then finally the Vice President/Treasurer of a major grain company in Missouri. After Harlan retired from his position in 1982, he relocated to Timbo, Arkansas with his wife. In his retirement, Harlan worked at a variety of jobs at the local Mountain View Wal-Mart, including being a job coach for individuals with disabilities, working in the garden department, and also the pharmacy. His love for flowers and gardening could be seen in his own gardens surrounding his home in over one hundred different varieties of irises and daylilies.

Harlan was a devout Christian and enjoyed studying and teaching lessons from the Bible to others. He taught Sunday School and lessons at the Church of God of Prophecy and in his later years, for as long as his health allowed, he attended church at Timbo Valley Assembly of God.

Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Sheila Duck, Sarah Brewer (husband Doug, deceased), and Hope Capodiferro (husband Omar); six grandchildren, Sharlisa Matthews (husband Brian), Chris Duck (wife Megan), Leslie Everett, Sarah Jewel Schroyer (husband Paul) Nathan Whitfield (wife Stephanie), and Jennifer Blair (husband Dave); nine great grandchildren, Deja Harris, Jordan Matthews, Harrison Matthews, Jayden Duck, Isabella Duck, Emery Duck, Blaine Sowers (wife Abby), Brooklyn Everett, and Alexis Jewel Schroyer.

Harlan was preceded in death by his parents, Lottie Jewel (Hollis) and Clifford Lunday; two brothers, L.C. Lunday and Clyde Lunday; daughter, Rebecca Ann Lunday Whitfield; beloved wife of sixty-one years, Mary Ashley Lunday.

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 15th, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the Church of God of Prophecy, in Augusta, Arkansas. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm, with Brother David Campbell officiating. Interment will take place at the Augusta Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Paul Schroyer, Scott Lunday, Bo Lunday, Eddie Hollis, Bo Collins, and Paul Collins.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Mountain View Funeral Service.
