
The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) will host a public involvement meeting on Thursday, April 24, to discuss a proposed bridge replacement on Highway 56 over Calico Creek in Calico Rock. The project, identified as Job 050447, also includes intersection improvements at the junction of Highway 5 and Highway 56.
The meeting is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Calico Rock City Hall, 265 Second Street.
In a news release, ARDOT said that the public can access meeting materials and submit written comments online (click here). The deadline for submitting comments is 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
A Spanish translation of the project website is available. Online comment forms can be submitted directly to ARDOT, or printed forms can be mailed to the Environmental Division, P.O. Box 2261, Little Rock, AR 72203-2261.
