Terry James Green of Newark, Arkansas, departed this life on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the age of 66. He was born February 19, 1959, in Newport, the son of James “Elmer” and Kathryn (Gates) Green.
Mr. Green was a graduate of Newark High School. He later went to work at White Rodgers in Batesville, working in the Machining Department, until his health declined. He was a devoted member of the Newark First Baptist Church. Mr. Green was a wonderful Christian man and loved going to bible Study.
Mr. Green enjoyed hunting and watching westerns. He also loved spending time with his dear friends, Bob and Gail Armstrong, Adam Owens, Adam Fudge, Jeremy Owens, Jim Murphree, Don “Tink” Smith, and Larry Gates.
Mr. Green is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Green, and his parents.
He is survived by an uncle, Jerry Gates and wife, Velda, of Newport; aunts, Carolyn Gates Bailey of Tuckerman and Sue Gates Husky and husband, Carroll, of Tuckerman; many cousins; and a lifetime of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Newark First Baptist Church, with Bro. Bill Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Springs Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Monday, beginning at 12:30 p.m. until service time.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Adam Owens, Jeremy Owens, Don “Tink” Smith, Larry Gates, Greg Peavy, and Adam Fudge. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Murphree and Dennis Green.
