Garry Eugene Shrum, age 74, a beloved husband, father, and friend, sadly left our world of rock and roll on May 4, 2025, after a life full of love, peace, and music.
Born and raised in El Cajon, California, he was known for his record stores, including Blue Meannie Records in El Cajon, Another Blue Meannie in Los Angeles, and Blue Meannie Music in Batesville, Arkansas, as well as his later involvement with Heritage Auctions.
Garry was a wealth of knowledge, love, and friendship in the world of music and life. He touched the lives of all those who had the honor of knowing him.
Garry leaves his wife, Laura Shrum, with whom he has been married for 55 years, their daughters, Lalanya Colbert (KC), Veronica Shrum (Raven), and grandchildren, Katerina Eckard and Adam Eckard.
