
Zella Frances Sisk, born March 22, 1932, in Oil Trough, AR, to Robert and Mary Ethel Pearce, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 10, 2025, in Batesville, AR.
Zella loved baking, flowers, watching hummingbirds & cardinals, her beloved dogs Zoe and Sadie, she loved watching the Arkansas Razorback men’s Basketball team with her daughter, playing phase 10 weekly with family and spending time with them as well. She had a servant’s heart and served the Lord by taking care of others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 51 years, John Hogan Sisk, her son Michael Hogan Sisk, her siblings Victor Pearce, Ruby Cook and Jetta Lawrence, brother-in-laws Kenneth Sisk and Jim Sisk, and sister-in-law Dorothy Williams.
Survivors include her daughter Terresia Sisk Coe, her granddaughters Lauren Taylor (Blake) and Lindsey Valentine, her great-grandchildren who were the lights of her life, Jaylee Hubbard, Carlie Hubbard, Jack Taylor and Malakiah Valentine, nieces Karen Sisk, Tammy Sisk, Marilyn Alexander, Pam Worley, Janet Jarvis nephews Randy Sisk, Tim Sisk, Shane Sisk, Jamie Sisk, and John Lawrence, sister in laws Pat Sisk and Jean Sisk, and several other cousins, great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Home and will be on Friday, September 12, at 10 am at Maple Springs Cemetery in Rosie, AR. No visitation is planned at this time.
Zella was an animal lover and held a special place in her heart for dogs. She also loved her church, where she was a member for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Independence County and White River Baptist Church in Oil Trough.
