Anella Walker Mize, 96, of Desha, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025.
She was born February 19, 1929, in Manning, TX to Hiram Franklin Walker and Vada Kathryn Woodall Walker.
Anella was a member of Desha First Baptist Church. She worked with Southwestern Bell for 41 years and loved it. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and her two cats.
Survivors include her stepsons, David Mize (Monica), Stephen Mize (Terry), and Stanley Mize (Jeannie); brother-in-laws, Bob Mize, Glen Mize (Eunice), and Larry Mize; sister-in-laws, Helen Griffin (Tony), Towzie Mize, and Phillys Mize Harrison; and eight step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Reuben Mize, and brother, Hollis Walker.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm Friday, September 19, 202,5 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Josh Swinea officiating. Burial will follow at Egner Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 pm Friday, September 19, 2025, at the funeral home.
