
Jacqueline (Jackie) Marie Greer, 61, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away on October 11, 2025. Jacqueline was born February 22, 1964, to James E. Greer Jr. and Leola Marie (Clark, VanRyan) Greer.
Jacqueline was a lifelong student and attended the Jackson County Learning Center until 2020, and after relocating to Jonesboro, Arkansas, she attended Focus Learn Center.
She loved God and loved going to church; she often demonstrated her love for God by singing his praises.
From childhood, Jacqueline was a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Crossroads and would attend every Sunday with her mother. After the death of her mother, she attended First Missionary Baptist Church of Newport, where she later became a member. After relocating to Jonesboro, she became a member of the Fisher Street Church of God in Christ.
When she attended First Baptist, she would go through the pews and pick up papers and bulletins that was left behind, and she would stuff them into her purse. Then she would proceed to turn off all the lights, even while people were fellowshipping.
She loved her family. She loved to dance, especially to her favorite artist, Michael Jackson; she was a Diva in her own right. She liked getting her hair and nails done, and she loved her purses and her money. She loved writing and spent hours writing in her notebooks. She loved collecting paper of any kind, especially church bulletins. She loved softball and bowling; she was an excellent bowler, and she bowled in the school league and would bowl every Monday.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her parents, James E. Greer Jr. and Leola Marie Greer; her brothers, Joseph and James Greer; and her sister, Sandra Kay Bailey.
Jacqueline is survived by her sisters, Patricia Alcorn Sr., (Marvin) of Diaz, Arkansas, Mary Hunt (Greg) of Farmington, Missouri, Wanda Tate (Michael) of St. Louis, Missouri; her brothers, Gary Greer (Sarah) of Conway, Arkansas, Richard Greer (Trudy) of Newport, Arkansas; thirty-seven nieces and nephews, ninety-three great nieces and nephews; fifty-seven great-great nieces and nephews and a host of cousins.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Marvin Tate, Rudy Scott, Marvin Alcorn Jr., Brian Crayton Jr., Brandon Clayton, and Elizjah Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Herschel Alcorn, Edward Pruitt Sr., Officers of Oak Grove M.B. Church, officers of First M.B. Church, and officers of Fisher Street C.O.G.I.C.
Service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
