Maudie Lea Pierce, 83, of Batesville, AR, died on Friday, October 24, 2025. She was born on January 4, 1942, in Violett Hill, AR, to the late Arch Daniel Pierce and Bernice Icy (Cooper) Pierce. Maudie was of Christian faith and served the Lord as a member at the Twentieth Street Baptist Church in Batesville and she loved attending church. Before moving back to Arkansas, Maudie worked in the investment industry in Kansas. She served as an accountant/payroll clerk for Waddell and Reed Financial Advisors for 38 years. Maudie will be dearly missed by everyone who was blessed to know and love her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Travis Pierce; her sisters, Reba Petersen, Glenda Jones, Doris Kirkpatrick, and Margerie Pierce. She is survived by her sister, Hazel Willene Stewart, and 11 nieces and nephews.
Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR and will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2 PM. The funeral service, officiated by Bro. Bob Womack will begin at 2 PM with interment to follow at Violett Hill Cemetery in Violett Hill, AR.
