
Arletta Joy (Davidson) Epperson, 85, of Olyphant, departed this life on November 1, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 9, 1940, to Arthur Andrew and Rilla Mae (Fuller) Davidson.
Mrs. Joy was a lifelong member of the Olyphant Church of Christ, where her faith guided her life and her love for others was evident in all she did. She was a gifted quilter, creating beautiful, handcrafted quilts for every member of her family — each one a symbol of her love and care. She also enjoyed sewing, decorating cakes, and making special things for those around her.
Known for her kindness, patience, and giving heart, Mrs. Joy found her greatest happiness in spending time with her family. Whether gathered around the table, sharing stories, or celebrating life’s special moments, she treasured every minute with those she loved.
Mrs. Epperson was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Epperson, whom she married on August 31, 1956; her parents; one son, James Allen Epperson; four brothers: Dean, Marvin, Dale, and W.A. Davidson; and one sister, Violet Nash.
Mrs. Epperson leaves behind two sons, Wayne Epperson and wife Judy of Olyphant, Terry Epperson and wife Pam of Campbell Station; one sister; Janet Rochner of Thida, three grandchildren, Josh Epperson and wife Tori of Olyphant, Karman Stover and husband Andrew of Campbell Station, Kody Epperson and wife Shay of Newport, and one bonus grandson; James Cameron and wife Laci of Newport, three great grandchildren, Kolton Epperson and wife Caitlynn, Katie Epperson, Vaida Epperson, and one great great grandson; Harrison Paul Epperson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, at the Olyphant Church of Christ, with burial in Coffeyville Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home on Monday, November 3, from 5 to 7 p.m.
