
Jimmy Thomas Butler, 89, passed away on November 6, 2025, in Batesville, AR. He was born on October 20, 1936, in Caraway, Arkansas, to the late Clarence Wesley Butler and Pynie Lula (Malone) Butler. Jimmy served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged from service. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He always grew a huge garden that almost took up the whole back yard. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all those blessed to know him.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of over thirty-six years, Rachel (Roberts) Butler; son, Bill Mauldin; daughters, Tisha, Debra, Pynie, and Angie Burns (Ed); nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
The family is planning a memorial for Jimmy in the Spring.
