Dorothy Faye (Peters) Morris, 80, of Harrisburg, Arkansas, departed this life on Friday, November 7, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born in Marked Tree, Arkansas, on July 4, 1945, the daughter of William L. ‶Bill″ and Allie (Jones) Peters and they have preceded her in death.
Dorothy married Robert Ray Morris on November 02, 1980, and they enjoyed 25 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on January 17, 2006. She was preceded in death by one son, James Morris, four brothers: James, Albert, Lawerence, and Don Peters, and 2 sisters: Ann Cook and Veannie Layton.
Dorothy is survived by two sons: Dewey Taylor of Harrisburg and Paul Huey Taylor Jr. of Little Rock, two daughters: Margaret Morris of Trumann and Breanna West of Lincoln, Georgia and she has several grandchildren, great-grands, and several great-great-grands.
Dorothy was of the Baptist Faith, a member of Greenfield Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, canning, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, November 10, 2025, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisburg, Arkansas, beginning at 12:00 until Service Time. Service Time will begin at 1:00 P.M. on November 10, 2025, with Bro. John Medlock is conducting the service. Family will serve as active pallbearers. Interment will be in Bolivar Cemetery. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home.
