Arthur Eugene Stephenson (Gene), age 91 of Calamine, AR, passed away on November 6, 2025, at home in Calamine with his family at his side.
He was born on April 24, 1934, in Calamine, Arkansas, to Arthur Alvis Stephenson and Ruby (Smith) Stephenson.
Gene retired from Air Products in Los Angeles, CA, and was a member of Smithville Baptist Church.
Gene was a devout Christian. He was a deacon in the church. His love for children led him to minister through programs such as Awana, VBS, Boy Scouts and Junior Church. He enjoyed reading and being out in nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur Alvis Stephenson and Ruby (Smith) Stephenson, his brother Larry Charles Stephenson (infant) and sister Mary Kilburn.
He is survived by his wife Joan of 69 years. His sons, Robert Stephenson (Mimi) of Arcadia, CA and Gary Wayne Stephenson of West Covina, CA. His daughters are Joy Kedroski (Bill) of West Covina, CA, Donna Cook (Steven) of North Little Rock, AR and Karen Fortuna (Henry) of North Little Rock, AR. His Sister Linda Sinks of Shaver Lake, CA, along with 5 Grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, November 14, at 2:00 PM at Smithville Baptist Church with Keith Marlin and Paul Smith Officiating. The burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery on Grange Rd.

Visitation will be at 1:00 on the day of the funeral at Smithville Baptist Church.
