Laurie Christine Midgett, 67, passed away on November 22, 2025, in Batesville, AR. She was born on February 2, 1958, in Birmingham, AL, to the late Reverand Lawrence Harris and Onzell (Walker) Harris. Laurie enjoyed reading western novels and loved her dog, Lucy. She loved spending time with her kids and her husband, especially fishing and camping. Above all else, she loved solitude and enjoyed the peace and quiet of her home.
Laurie is survived by her sons, James Maupin (Linda) and Jesse Maupin (Micah); grandchildren, Chelsea Maupin, Bryton Maupin, and Symfanie Maupin; great-grandchild, Nova Jade Siler; and sisters, Julee McClurkan (Jimmy) and Jane Prine. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Bobby Gene Midgett.
There will be a Memorial Service held at a later date.
