Lee Savoya Ramey was born on March 11, 1967, to the late Delois Ramey. At the age of 58, Lee transitioned on November 24, 2025, in Batesville, Arkansas, the place he called home.
Lee accepted Christ at an early age and remained faithful throughout his life. He was a proud member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Batesville, Arkansas, where he loved fellowshipping with his church family.
Lee lived a full life, always on the move, always smiling, and always surrounded by the things he enjoyed most. In his younger years, he played in the minor leagues, and throughout his life he kept a deep love for sports. Whether he was playing or watching, you could always count on Lee to have a game on, a score to discuss, or a team to cheer for. During his school days, he played football, basketball, and ran track. He also enjoyed table games and could often be found laughing, competing, and having a good time. One of his greatest joys was fishing—peaceful days by the water brought him comfort and happiness.
Lee was preceded in death by his mother, Delois Ramey; his sisters, Cleatrice Brown and Deborah Corley; his sister-in-law, Wendy Strong; his aunt, Cardia Ramey; and his grandparents, Gurley and Henrietta Ramey.
He leaves to cherish his memory four brothers: Eddie Brown (Carolyn) of Batesville, Arkansas; Billy Strong of Groton, Connecticut; Charles Strong (Victoria) of Tampa, Florida; and Ronald Ramey of Batesville, Arkansas. He is also remembered with love by one sister, Carla Neal of Sherwood, Arkansas, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
