Southside Charter High School seniors stepped into real-world career preparation Tuesday during the school’s 10th annual mock interviews, an event designed to give students professional experience as part of the district’s Future Story program.
More than 60 local businesses and agencies met with students throughout the day, offering feedback, career insight, and a firsthand look at professional expectations. Seniors spent weeks preparing resumes, cover letters, and applications ahead of the event, school officials said.
Administrators said the mock interviews help students practice communication skills and build confidence as they plan for life after graduation. Staff members organized the event and coordinated with participating organizations to ensure each senior completed at least one interview.
“We are grateful for the tremendous community support that makes this possible each year,” school officials said.
