
A 30-year-old Gassville woman was killed Wednesday night after being struck by two vehicles on U.S. Highway 62 West, according to Arkansas State Police.
Sheena Wainscott was walking in the roadway near Gassville at about 8:50 p.m. when a 2017 Ram traveling west struck her, and then a 2021 Ford traveling east also hit her, the preliminary state police fatality summary said.
Officials said road and weather conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash. There were no reported injuries from either vehicle. Wainscott was pronounced dead at the scene, and her body was turned over to the Baxter County Coroner.
