Katherine Harris
First Community Bank has hired Katherine Harris as senior vice president and retail sales strategy officer, tasking the 13-year banking veteran with coordinating enterprise-wide retail sales while maintaining the institution’s community-focused service model.
Harris will oversee deposit growth initiatives, retail sales programs, frontline incentive structures and sales analytics designed to support branch teams across all markets. Her appointment signals the bank’s push to strengthen retail performance through relationship-driven sales.
“I’ve spent my career building teams and helping customers secure their financial futures,” Harris said. “I am excited to bring that experience to this role, and I look forward to working alongside our teams to grow relationships and serve our communities.”
Harris brings extensive experience in retail management, sales strategy and customer experience. She will report to Michelle Reesor, executive vice president and chief risk officer, and work closely with executive leadership.
“Katherine’s experience and leadership align well with our long-term growth strategy,” Reesor said. “Her focus on relationship-driven sales will strengthen our retail sales performance while reinforcing our community banking values.”
An active member of the Independence County community, Harris participates annually in the Angel Tree Program. She and her family belong to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Batesville, where she works with a women’s group supporting local communities and school districts. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in management from the University of Central Arkansas.
Harris and her husband, Derek, have been married 12 years and have five children: Owen, 10; Eden, 7; Ava, 5; Dane, 3; and Page, 2. She enjoys spending time with family, photography, outdoor activities, youth sports, swimming, riding side-by-sides and attending dirt track races.
Harris’ office is at First Community Bank’s main headquarters in Batesville. The lobby at 1325 Harrison St. operates 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. The drive-through operates 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
