
Vada Barnett, 93, of Cave City, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, in Cave City. She was born February 24, 1933, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Amos Palmer and Stella (Cummings) Palmer. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Faith. Vada enjoyed gardening and bird watching. She was especially fascinated with watching her birds in their birdhouses in the yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Marvin Palmer, Conway Palmer, Carl Palmer and Gerald Palmer; and two sisters, Gladys Palmer and Lorene Hutchison.
She is survived by her sons, Raymond Barnett (Charlotte) of Cave City, Arkansas and Johnny Barnett (Mary Ann) of Forrest City, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Ramona Leddy (Sean), Rodney Barnett (Sarah), Brian Barnett (Tara) and Philip Barnett; eight great grandchildren, Leighton Leddy (Sydney), Dylan Leddy, Kaylee Tarvin (Cash), Savannah Barnett, Dakota Barnett, Keith Barnett, Carson Barnett and Samuel Barnett; two sisters-in-law, Betty Palmer of Lonoke, Arkansas and Sharon Palmer of Cave City, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. Bobby Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Sandtown.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Rodney Barnett, Brian Barnett, Philip Barnett, Sean Leddy, Leighton Leddy and Dylan Leddy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kaylee Tarvin, Savannah Barnett, Dakota Barnett, Keith Barnett, Carson Barnett and Samuel Barnett.
