David Edward Hall, 82, of Mountain View, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, with his wife by his side.

David was born on April 18, 1943, in New London, Connecticut, to Fred and Mary Hall. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. David had a personality all his own—you always knew where you stood with him—but his love for his family was undeniable. Those who knew him best understood that beneath his strong personality was a man with a deeply loyal heart. He enjoyed fishing, collecting coins, and sitting quietly on his back porch, taking in the simple moments of life.

David grew up in Wallkill, New York. He began his career serving his country in the United States Navy and later continued his service in the United States Air Force. During his time in the Navy, he served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Essex (CV-9), which played a role during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After his time in the Navy, he joined the Air Force, where he served three tours of duty in Vietnam.

Following his military service, David worked as a truck driver until his retirement. He was an extremely hard worker who believed in doing things the right way and took great pride in both his work and his service to his country.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Hall, and his two brothers, Ted and Herby Hall.

David is survived by his loving wife, Marie; his two children, David (Eileen) Hall of Austin, Arkansas, and Colleen (JB) Higgins of Livingston, Texas; and his grandchildren, Joseph Higgins, David A. Hall and his wife Rachel, Zach Hall, and Madison Hall. He is also survived by many friends whose lives were better for having known him.

David will always be remembered for his strong spirit, his deep faith, and the steadfast love he had for his family. Though the world may feel a little quieter without him, his stories, his strength, and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Arrangements are entrusted to Mountain View Funeral Service.
