Ronald George McCoy, age 62, passed away on March 5, 2026. He was born on June 10, 1963, in Marshall, Arkansas, to George Hugh McCoy and Nellie Mae Caston McCoy.
Ronald, known affectionately as Ronnie, had a gentle and creative spirit. He loved to write poems, and whenever family visited or spoke with him on the phone, he would eagerly read a new poem he had written. His poems often reflected his deep thoughts about faith and the beauty of Heaven. Ronnie also enjoyed drawing with a pencil, creating pictures that he lovingly shared with family; most often scenes of Heaven or images of Jesus.
One of Ronnie’s favorite pleasures was going out to eat with loved ones, especially to Chinese restaurants, which brought him great joy.
Ronnie is survived by his sisters, Linda McCoy Smith and husband Don Smith of Timbo, Arkansas, and Lecia McCoy Rose and husband Richie of Locust Grove, Arkansas; and his nieces and nephews, Jeremy Jones, Charity Jones, Daniel Smith, Donald Smith, Sandra Smith Whitaker, Ricky Rose, and Charlie Rose.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Mae McCoy, and his sister, Kathy Mae Jones, whom he loved deeply.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Timbo Cemetery in Timbo, Arkansas, beginning at 2:00 p.m. The speaker will be Donald Smith.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Smith, Adam Smith, Jeremy Jones, Aaron Whitaker, Levi Whitaker, and Wayne Whitaker. Honorary Pallbearer will be Charlie Rose.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Crouch Funeral Home of Mountain View, Arkansas.
Ronald will be remembered for his tender heart, creative soul, and the love he shared through his words, drawings, and quiet faith.
