Maggie Tipton with Main Street Batesville
Main Street Batesville is set to host “The Main Course” on April 30, a collaborative culinary event designed to showcase local flavor while supporting community programming.
The event marks a unique partnership with Lyon College’s “Highland Road Marketing” student agency. These students have spearheaded the marketing and event design, gaining real-world experience in community engagement.
“The Main Course” features a collaborative dinner catered by five downtown mainstays: Maw’s Downtown Table, The Twisted Spud, Poke & Paddle, The Board on Third, and Sarah-Dipity. Maggie Tipton of Main Street Batesville highlighted Maws Southern-style offerings, noting their collard greens and Creole mac and cheese will be on the menu.
Following dinner, the festivities open to the public at 7:30 p.m. with free live music from The Groove Vault, line dancing, and a student-designed kids’ zone featuring cornhole.
Tickets are $50 for adults and $20 for children aged 12 and under, while children 5 and under eat free with registration. Proceeds fund over 20 free summer events, including the “Levitt AMP Batesville” music series, which starts May 7. Tickets are available at exploremsb.com. and by clicking here.
