In the near future, all 75 Arkansas counties will be equipped to provide same-day, in-person service for birth and death certificates.
Of the 18 counties in the northeast region of the State Health Department, four can now provide these services: Independence, White, Craighead, and Crittenden. The administrator for Stone and Cleburne Counties, Hazel Thompson, told White River Now that they will be online to provide the services before the end of the year. In fact, Thompson said the counties now have applications that you can fill out and mail to the State Health Department headquarters in Little Rock. Thompson said online as well as mail-in requests are available.
