A Melbourne man is in jail today awaiting an Aug. 11 court date on two counts of sexual indecency with a child.
Izard County Sheriff Earnie Blackley said 46-year-old Darrey L. Hart (pictured), 46, was arrested on Aug. 2 after he allegedly sent inappropriate photos of himself to a 14-year-old female via social media, according to a release from the sheriff’s department.
While working on the case, investigators assumed the identity of the 14-year-old to continue the investigation. Blackley said Hart sent more inappropriate photos of himself along with very crude statements.
Hart’s bond was set at $20,000 cash with an Aug. 11 court date in Izard County Circuit Court.
