Georgia Lee Turner, 82, of Pleasant Plains departed this life on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. She was born December 16, 1939, to Clarence Verne and Mable Johannah (Hougan) Seelye.
She was a member of the Velvet Ridge Church of God where she also taught Sunday school. She was active in the Shoe Box Ministry and volunteered for Hospice. She loved shopping and eating out. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting and playing the Dulcimer.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Alfred Turner and her daughter, Kathy Turner.
She is survived by her son, David Turner of Pleasant Plains; her daughters, Barbara Pendergast of Lexington, North Carolina, Brenda (Daryl) Sample of Pleasant Plains, Dawn (Kenneth) Southern of Pleasant Plains; her brother, Marvin Seelye of Anacortes, Washington State; her grandchildren, Peter Gerard Pendergast Jr. (Sophia), Erin Rosaleen Wright (Christopher), Shelby Troy Sample (Taylor), Andrew Wayne Southern (Candice), Justin Lee Southern, Cody Shawn Michael Southern, Ashley Nicole Swint (Eric); Great-grandchildren, Caslin Wright, Zella Wright, Fallon Sample, Kaidan Southern, McKenzie Southern, Shawn Southern, Samuel Southern.
Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Dillinger Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 in the chapel. Interment is at Watson Cemetery.
