Bobby Joe McCollum, 84 of Cave City passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022. He was born on January 21, 1938, in Violet Hill, Arkansas to Paul and Ruby Waggoner McCollum. He was retired from Boeing Aircraft in Melbourne; a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Violet Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Earlene McCollum and Bonnie Moser.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Janice Wilson McCollum of the home; two brothers, Loy McCollum (Delma) of Melbourne and Larry McCollum (Gretchen) of Fayetteville; one sister, Mary Shearer (Bob) of Des Moines, Iowa; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Bro. Keith Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, March 18, 2022, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Randy Smith, Jeff Huskey, Tony Conley, Larry Farmer, Gary Farmer and Kenny McCollum.
Honorary pallbearers will be Greg McCollum, Jim Hoggard, Mark Ellis, Stevie Taylor, Wayne Hoggard and Steve Hoggard.
