Stephanie Latrice Ellis King, 40, of Newport departed this life on April 2, 2022. She was born April 25, 1981, to Booker T. Ward III and Josie Ellis McDonald.
Stephanie worked in cosmetology and enjoyed making people feel good about their appearance. She also liked decorating and making her home look nice. She enjoyed cooking for her family, painting and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her father, Booker T. Ward III; her paternal grandfather, Booker T. Ward II; her maternal grandfather, Floyd Ellis; her maternal grandmother, Elwanda Ellis.
She is survived by her husband, Chris King of Newport; her sons, Chris King, Anfernee King and Trent King all of Newport; her daughter, Sequoyah King of Newport; her mother, Josie McDonald and husband Jessie of Newport; her grandmother, Mary Ward of Newport; her mother-in-law, Romonia Williams Grady of Sherwood; her brothers, Shawn Ellis of Newport, Tony King (Sandra) of Maumelle, Phillip King of Sherwood; brother-in-law, David King (Antoinette) of Sherwood; sisters, Cecelia Ford of Little Rock, Monique Ford of Olive Branch, Mississippi; sister-in-law, Donna Love (Mantel) of Tuckerman; grandniece, Nova Reed of Newport; special cousins, Glenda Wright of Little Rock and Laneka Ellis Irby of Little Rock; special nieces, Cadeidra Reed of Newport, Ciera Reed of Newport and Ariona Clark of Olive Branch. Mississippi; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Dillinger Funeral Home with Brother, Tony Steele officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at Shiloh Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Antywon Hampton, Marcus King, Steven Neal, Ryan King, Bo Ellis and Chris Ellis.
